Description of Work: process physician charges using a computerized billing system;
Responsible for diagnostic and procedural coding for the Critical Care group, research payor reimbursement policies and provide the department information; Experience with and understanding of coding and billing for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Qualifications: Three years of physician billing experience. Good working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 diagnostic and CPT procedural coding. Experience with billing requirements of local third party payors as well as Federal rules and regulations. Must have strong computer skills and organizational skills and be able to prioritize and make deadlines.
