Professional Fee Billing & Practice Management Specialist
Job Location:South County Hospital, Wakefield, RI


Job Summary:

Working in collaboration with physicians, and leaders and staff, ensures proper coding, billing, and follow-up to maximize payment for professional fee services. Analyzes provider documentation, fee schedules, and charges, and acts as a liaison with billing company to ensure timely follow up on reimbursement issues. Develops, generates, and submits periodic reports to monitor revenue cycle effectiveness and measure improvement. Develops routine audit schedule and standards and monitors practice compliance. Supports colleagues in the implementation of operational changes to maximize payment. Also consults with Hospital based practices on issues beyond physician billing & coding including patient through put, productivity & customer service, develops and implements processes, procedures and policies. Acts as a liaison with medical staff office on issues related to physician credentialing for billing. Able to present information in a clear, concise manner to senior leaders, physicians and outside vendors.


Reports To: Vice President, Human Resources & Practice Management

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field.
- Five years physician billing and coding experience
- Five years leadership experience in practice operations environment
- Excellent Microsoft office skills (Word & Excel)
- CCS-P, CPC, or PCS certification strongly preferred
- Expertise in physician credentialing for billing
